The Director
Born in Boston, Joan Meister has been back in town for four years after a
long, long pit-stop in sunny Florida, where she went to college for film
production. This basically means that she now gets very cold, but still
enjoys making snow angels and likes to stick her tongue out to catch
falling snowflakes. Joan sees the art of filmmaking as a way of expressing
the magnitude of dreams in a form that can be seen and felt. Done right,
the medium can be as powerful as if you had the dream yourself. She also
completely geeks out over movies, oftentimes buying DVDs just for the
Special Features.
The Film
We are all connected. All ages, all races, all walks of life. This concept, stemming from the root of twelve itself, is explored using direct-to-camera monologues, poetic prose, and artistic frame compositions. It is beautiful proof that we are one.
